Businesses are Sprouting
The economy may be sputtering, but there are still some hardy souls out there throwing caution to the wind and starting their own businesses. The city of Hendersonville issued or renewed a total of 39 business permits in the months of January and February.
According to Barbara Searcy with the city of Hendersonville's business permits office, some of the permits issued so far in 2010 may have been existing businesses that were bought by a new owner. In those cases, the new owner is required to get a permit. Other businesses, she said, may also have had an inactive permit but recently got work in Hendersonville. In those cases, they opened their license again, Searcy said.
The following permits have been issued or renewed in 2010 in the city of Hendersonville:
