Step Inside the New Red Step

Red Step Artworks owner Kelli Redmond moved her gallery from an off-the beaten-path location to 240 N. Main.

Red Step Artworks celebrated their move to a new, larger Main Street space by throwing a party this past Saturday. Singer Ellen Trnka played guitar and sang to the lively crowd as they sipped wine and admired the art (all by local or regional artists).

Owner Kelli Redmond says there will be music at the gallery on a regular basis. She credits her friends with helping her get the space ready in just a few short weeks. While many art galleries are painted some version of white to show off the art, the walls of Red Step are painted warm, deep colors. Somehow it works -- the artwork really pops -- and it makes for a very inviting space.

Visit Red Step at 240 North Main (right next to Tempo Music, the spot occupied by the recently departed Picasso’s).
