Pardee Hospital’s Vice President Clinical Services Pat Ashe and Chief Nursing Officer and Kathy Sanford, staff nurse in Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services, have been named two of the Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina for 2012.
The Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina is a grassroots peer recognition organization honoring the nursing profession in North Carolina. The organization annually acknowledges 100 North Carolina nurses who demonstrate excellence in practice and commitment to their profession and contributes scholarship funds for registered nurse education.
“These extraordinary nurses were selected by their peers for their continued excellence in patient care and commitment to the nursing profession. Pardee is proud to honor Ashe’s and Sanford’s achievement and are two of many Pardee nurses that make a difference everyday in the lives of their patients and our community,” said Pardee Hospital Jay Kirby in a news release.
Ashe and Sanford will be recognized and receive their awards at a gala on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Koury Convention Center held in Greensboro, N.C.
