Picture Book Workshop at the Fountainhead this February

Dr. Paddy Lynch will be teaching a picture book workshop geared towards professionals in early childhood education in February at The Fountainhead Bookstore in downtown Hendersonville.
Lynch earned her Ph.D. in elementary education with a concentration on literacy from the University of South Carolina and retired from the Henderson County Public School system in 2010.
Join her Feb. 13, 21 and 28 for a three-session workshop focusing on ways to identify how picture books support literacy development; the layout and design of illustrations and how these element complement the text.
The cost of the workshops is $45 and includes a copy of "A Family of Readers" written by the editors of the Horn Book, as well as other resources.
The sessions will meet from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on February 13, 21, and 28 and will be limited to the first 10 participants.
Continuing education/renewal credit will be given upon request.
