Beth Carden has been named the new Executive Director of the Henderson County Travel and Tourism.
Carden began working with Travel and Tourism in August 2009 as the events coordinator and was promoted to assistant director in February 2001. Following the retirement of former Travel and Tourism Director Melody Heltman in April 2012, Carden was named Interim Director and has served in that capacity for the past three months.
"Tourism is already very strong in Henderson County and its citizens have much to be proud of," Carden said in a news release. "I look forward to continuing improving this county’s strong position as one of the leaders in tourism for North Carolina.”
