Adventure Film Night at Southern Appalachian Brewery Benefits WNC Organizations
Southern Appalachian Brewery in Hendersonville will host a night of adventure films on Feb. 16 with proceeds going to WNC nonprofits RiverLink and Our Voice.
According to Asheville video producer Chris Gallaway, the night will also include the raffle of a kayak from Legacy Paddlesports. Diamond Brand is also donating door prizes and other raffle items. Gallaway added that Outdoor Sports Marketing of Hendersonville has figured prominently in producing most of the films that will be shown during the evening.
"We're excited to be receiving support from all these great businesses, and we're planning a night of fun and exciting adventure films that were all produced in North Carolina," Gallaway says. "We'd love to draw a good crowd from the community in Hendersonville so that we can raise a meaningful sum of money to contribute to the causes of Our Voice and RiverLink."
The films that will be screened are World Championships of Surf Kayaking; Longboarding Asheville; The Grand Canyon in Winter; and The Smokies: Punished Into Ecstasy.
The event runs from 7:30-9pm, and the cost is $6 at the door. Raffle tickets are $10 each. Raffle tickets will be available after Feb. 6 at Southern Appalachian Brewery tasting room, 822 Locust St., Hendersonville, and RiverLink, 170 Lyman St., Asheville.
