WHY DO YOU CARE? We're still in a recession and times are tough for everyone. The Chamber is seeking an additional $200,000 to pay for its building on Kanuga Road and asked the city for some money to continue their business networking efforts in the region. HOW DID IT GO DOWN? Audiences will once again be treated to one of Hendersonville’s favorite summertime events at the 14th Annual Music On Main Street concert series. Music On Main Street is held every Friday evening from June 8 through August 17 at the Visitors Information Center, located at 201 South Main Street in downtown Hendersonville with family-oriented events showcasing a diverse lineup of regional musical talents from pop, oldies, rock, to contemporary music. Bring a chair and enjoy an evening of live music from 7-9 p.m. with seating beginning after 5:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed until 8 p.m.; if the weather does not improve by 8 p.m. the performance will be cancelled.
