Win $500 -- by Just Shopping in Henderson County
This week is your last chance to win $500 from the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce. The rules are simple: each $100 you spend with a Henderson County merchant entitles you to fill out an entry form for the drawing. Bring your receipts to the Chamber by December 17.

Shopping locally not only benefits our merchants and their employees, it adds to local government revenue in the form of sales tax dollars. North Carolina collects a 7.75 cent sales tax on every dollar spent and 2.25 of those cents are returned to the county in which the items were purchased. Sales taxes collected by Henderson County businesses make up over 20% of the county's budget and between 20-30% of our municipalities' budgets. These monies provide for school needs, infrastructures and countless other items we enjoy and expect as Henderson County residents.
This holiday season, First Citizens Bank and the Chamber are adding incentive for your local patronage - a $500 gift package! Each $100 you spend with Henderson County merchants between November 15th and December 17th entitles you to fill out an entry for the drawing to win.
