Hundreds of motorcyclists enjoyed a gorgeous Saturday by gathering in Fletcher for food and fellowship before hitting the road to Hendersonville.

The gathering was all part of the annual Henderson County Toy Run. Each of the riders participating in the ride donated a toy, and all of the toys will be distributed to local children to ensure they have a merry Christmas. The riders were escorted by police from Fletcher to the Henderson County Human Services Building where the toys were collected.

In between, the motorcycles made their way  down Main Street with their engines revving and the riders waving to the people who gathered in downtown to watch. A few Santas joined in the parade, and a few  motorcyclists threw candy for the kids along Main Street. Many of the big burly motorcycle men had large stuffed teddy bears attached to their handle bars or tied down on the back of their bikes.

Scoop gives a thumbs up to the bikers for all they did today to help the kids at Christmas.
