Take a Hike ... and Celebrate the Winter Solstice
The Environmental and Conservation Organization is planning a Tuesday evening hike to Hooker Falls in the DuPont State Forest. Everyone is invited to go on the Winter Solstice Hike from 7 to 9pm to celebrate the darkness of the longest night and quietly welcome the sun as it begins its journey toward the northern hemisphere.
The hike will be held weather permitting. The hike is a moderate quarter-mile along the Hooker Falls trail. People going should bring a flashlight and a warm drink to toast the Winter Solstice.
