Pushing Petals on Main Street

The 17th Annual Garden Jubilee kicks off Hendersonville's summer festival season this weekend, May 29th and 30th. More than 175 vendors will offer thousands of plants for sale, along with arts and crafts, lawn and garden accessories. There will be talks and workshops by gardening experts and clinics on minimum maintenance landscaping, cottage gardening, and inspirational ideas for backyards. The festival runs from 10am to 6pm both days and will cover Main Street from Sixth Avenue to Caswell Street. Even if you have a brown thumb, this is a pleasant event, especially if the weather cooperates. Call 828-693-9708 or visit http://www.historichendersonville.org/garden_jubilee.htm for more information. Animals and humans who behave like animals are prohibited.
