Joy of Books Headed Downtown

Joy of Books is on the move.

Owner Joye McGinnis says the book store, currently located in the Kanuga Cottage District at 302 Davis Street, is moving to 242 North Main Street in shared space with Red Step Artworks. McGinnis said the move will better serve her customers and appeal to a wider range of customers. The new space will also provide more room for an increasing inventory of fiction and specialty books.

"We will be closed between Christmas and New Years, but look for our grand re-opening the first week of January 2011," McGinnis states.

Joy of Books is an independent used book seller that offers all types of used books and specializes in southern fiction. The store also sells new books that feature local authors and interests such as hiking, biking and everything Western North Carolina.

The phone number is 828-551-7321 or you can visit the bookstore on the Web at www.joyofbooks.net.
