Have a Blast in the Grass and Help the United Way
Everyone is invited to come out for a concert, car show and plenty more family entertainment this weekend to benefit the United Way of Henderson County.
The third annual Blast in the Grass will happen from noon to 5 pm on Saturday, September 25, at Kimberly Clark – Berkley Mill in Hendersonville. The event features the music of Sons of Ralph and Josh Cogan.
The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 6-10, and free for children under 6 and people over 80. A carload of people can attend for $20.
Blast in the Grass is a Kimberly Clark fundraiser for United Way. From 12-5pm, you can enjoy a car and craft show and kids entertainment. Sons of Ralph, an Asheville-based band playing traditional mountain music, bluegrass, country and western, folk and classic rock, performs from 12-2pm. Josh Cogan, who is a singer/songwriter from Shelby, will play from 3-5pm.
Blast in the Grass will also feature the Kimberly-Clark NASCAR race car, door prizes, inflatables for the kids, a Mountain Home fire truck, an ornithopter, and free hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks with a paid admission.
