If you haven’t been to the North Carolina Mountain State Fair yet, Sunday is your last chance.
The 2010 edition of the fair offers just one more day of food, fun and music.
The fair, located at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, opens at 9am with the midway rides providing thrills and chills starting at 10am. From 12:30 to 5:30pm, fairgoers can enjoy flower and garden demos in the Expo building and children’s soap carving in the Expo at 1:30pm.
At 3pm, you can hear the winner of the old time competition on the Bojangles stage and the bluegrass winner at 3:45pm. At 5pm, the John Cowan Band takes to the Bojangles stage.
The final livestock shows of the fair all happen at 10am with an open junior dairy cattle show in the sales arena and an open wool breed sheep show and an open meat goat show, both in Davis Arena.
The fair closes its 2010 run at 10pm.
