Mills River Presbyterian Church Planning Another Puzzle Party

Last year, Mills River Presbyterian Church and members of the local community spent their winter days working on a 24,000-piece jigsaw puzzle billed as the world's largest.

Starting in January, the church is planning another puzzle party that offers a smaller challenge. This one is a mere 18,000 pieces.

"We had so much fun last year creating the 24,000-piece World's Largest Puzzle during the cold winter months that we wanted to do it again," Pastor Randall Boggs says.

The puzzle is titled Tropical Impressions and may help you forget about these cold winter days. It will be 75 inches tall by 108 inches wide when complete. Like last year's puzzle, Life: The Great Challenge, the church plans to hang this year's puzzle on the church's wall. Mills River Presbyterian Church's puzzle perfection last year got it inducted into an online Hall of Fame as the first organization in North Carolina to complete the 14-foot by five foot puzzle.

The puzzle pieces for Tropical Impressions will be set up in four areas of the church fellowship hall, allowing different sections of the puzzle to be worked on simultaneously. People who want to help can simply drop by the fellowship hall starting at noon on Sunday, January 23, and jump right into this puzzle madness. The hall will be open from 9am to 9pm daily until the puzzle is complete.

The church is located  just off school House  Road at 10 Presbyterian Church Road. Call 828-891-7101 for more information.
