Abraham Lincoln Dropping By The Library
For a month now, the Henderson County Library has hosted a traveling exhibit called Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln's Journey to Emancipation. The exhibit inside Kaplan Auditorium examines Lincoln's quest to restore the Union and how his beliefs about freeing slaves were transformed by war-time developments.
As the library prepares to close the exhibit on August 20, the 16th president himself plans to drop by. On August 19, the former president in the form of actor George Frein will visit the exhibit and chat with library patrons at 7 pm. The public is invited to stop by, view the exhibit and hear directly from the guest of honor.
