For great food and great service, make sure to visit Tooley's Café, a Henderson County dining tradition for 23 years.
Owner Kim Justice and her staff pride themselves on providing food that's sure to please. "We offer a wide range of food. We make all our quiches from scratch. We have homemade soups, and all our deserts are home baked," Justice says. "We offer anything from our Woody burger to lobster ravioli for dinner."
And, Justice adds, "We have the best French fries in town."
She strives to give her customers a pleasurable dining experience at a reasonable price. That's evident from the number of loyal customers, some of whom come in every day.
A pleasant atmosphere, good food, competitive prices and a dedicated staff set Tooley's Café apart from other restaurants, Justice says. "My staff has been here eight to 10 years," she says. "I think people, especially with the way the economy is, are going to a place where they know they can consistently get good food and see a familiar face and have a pleasant experience. They can come in here and have a glass of wine or beer, have dinner, and two people can get out of here for $20. We are consistently good."
Before purchasing Tooley's 10 years ago, Justice operated the Pampered Palate. Prior to being a restaurateur, she was a flight attendant. Her work in the airline industry taught her how to treat her customers right, whether it was 37,000 feet in the air or on the ground.
Tooley's Café recently hosted a private party, and Justice said the restaurant is looking to do more of that in the future.
Tooley's Café is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
