The Bovornthat Family, originally from Thailand, opened Thai Spice in December of 2007, with Somnuk as head chef, Nopparat as sous chef and Jann making sure that the guests are happy and well fed.
Open seven days for lunch and dinner, they offer a tasty array of Thai dishes with a wide range of heat levels. Lunch specials, with soup or salad, start at $7.95, Dinner entrees start at a modest $9.
Whenever possible, Thai Spice serves organic fare. Soup broths are made daily, all vegetables are fresh, and no MSG is used. The menu also caters to a vegetarian clientele and Jann has customers who request gluten and wheat free dishes.
Their specialty is the Pad Thai with fried tofu. Somnuk won a first prize award for her Pad Thai at the Thai Songkran Festival in Florida. Try the Thai Iced Coffee, brewed from strong Thai coffee beans and laced with brown sugar, honey and milk. The menu is large and comprehensive, with wonderful daily specials.
