Hendersonville is known far and wide for their tasty apple crop. Kilwin’s, the sweetest spot on Main Street, has given us something special to chew on: delicious local caramel apples. One bite, and you’ll see why folks flock to Kilwin’s.
Or maybe it’s the ice cream, or handmade waffle cones, or the pecan or cashew brittle made before your eyes, or the creamy and chewy chocolate confections….all made with the finest and freshest ingredients. Watch fudge flipped and spread on the huge marble table. Take a deep breath, enjoy the heavenly aroma, close your eyes, slip a sample in your mouth and release your inner child. And enjoy!
Even better, the store is open until at least 9pm every day, seven days a week, with extended weekend hours!
Jen Butcher was a dental hygienist for 25 years when her sweet tooth got the better of her and she opened the Kilwin’s franchise here in 2000. She enjoys giving out samples and talking with locals and visitors -- and still feels like a kid in a candy store.

Local Henderson County apples dipped in our made-from-scratch caramel!
we were shocked at the prices at the hendersonville store. we each ordered a single scoop of ice cream in a cup and it was almost $8. no ice cream is that good. this was on father's day and the previous gentleman was given something for father's day. we are not sure what kind of goody this may have been as i was not offered anything but these ripoff prices. hopefully the new marble slab will put you out of business.
Well, I have to say that I LOVE Kilwin's! It's too bad the previous commenter had a bad time there, but I've never had an experience like that. You get a sample of fudge when you walk in the door and if they just made something (like fresh white chocolate popcorn!), you get to taste that, too! The people behind the counter remember your regular order and make it just the way you want. The prices are more than what you'd pay at some other places, but I think it's worth it to get something that good, and from people that friendly. And their caramel apples are the best!
