For the past 19 years, Pisgah Physical Therapy has been giving people the individual treatment and care necessary to help them overcome pain and injuries.
Gary Thiry, a physical therapist for 35 years, opened the practice in 1991. They offer physical, hand and occupational therapy, treating a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, TMJ, work-related injuries, neck, back and shoulder impairment; hand and elbow problems; scoliosis; and chronic pain.
The practice prides itself on excellent patient care, and Gary regularly attends seminars to glean the latest information available to help patients. An extremely effective therapy for chronic pain is Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT), using gentle tapping and tissue manipulation to reset the reflex system. As a result, clients experience increased energy and mobility, improved sleep and a notable decrease in stress.
Athletes rely on Pisgah Physical Therapy to get back in the game when injury forces them to the sideline. Gary has helped a Henderson County gymnast with Olympic aspirations overcome her pain, and golfers will be happy to know that Pisgah Physical Therapy has a program designed to help them improve their swings for distance and accuracy.
The entire staff strives to make each patient feel cared for.
